Stratum Services Life Cycle

Stratum’s approach to best practices are defined by its asset quality model (AQM). How solutions are implemented are structured according to the stratum services life cycle. The services life cycle guides projects from the assessment and planning stages, through post-implementation analysis. Each successive phase leverages previous steps. The result for the client is a reliable, structured, yet flexible and open-ended approach to EAM improvements.

Process Design

The Stratum services life cycle starts with process analysis and design. This phase consists of working with the client to assess and conduct gap analysis in the three operational areas of the AQM - best practices, EAM technology, and performance management. This exercise will establish how the company operates presently, and what must be done to achieve optimized operations. Stratum uses these assessments to create a customized process model. This model serves as the basis for the EAM implementation or for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Application Configuration

Using the process model created during the process design phase, Stratum configures the technical infrastructure. This phase includes accessing all relevant system data, installing and reconfiguring hardware and software. Transactional coding structures that enable workflow are designed, and all related systems are integrated. Performance management applications are installed. Defined best practices, operational procedures and roles are configured within the application.

System Deployment

Leveraging the configured infrastructure, operational workflows and transaction processes are established. This includes embedding policies to automate and enforce transactions and workflows. Performance management applications are set up to enable auditing of processes and individuals. Process-focused training is provided to the application user base. Quality assurance testing is executed before new systems and practices are brought online.

The process model is referenced for deplopyment of all three areas of the AQMbest practices, EAM technology and performance management applications.

Process Audits

Ongoing auditing and tracking of processes and performance is initiated during this phase. Process audits are conducted by the client or by Stratum to assess and score process compliance. These audits produce a series of performance scorecards that measure the success of individual roles and processes.

Performance Analysis

Key performance indicators are automatically tracked by the system to assess whether operational goals are being met. The metrics produced in the system enable real-time performance measurement to take place. Configured dashboards and automated reporting provide management with a clear understanding of performance, and reveal opportunities for additional improvements.

Improvement Initiatives

Stratum uses the results of audits and performance analysis to assemble and propose improvement initiatives to the client. Initiatives are prioritized according to their relative impact and ROI.

Ongoing Operational Improvements

Successful organizations will capitalize on opportunities though continuous analysis of performance, forming new improvement initiatives, and revising the process model. By continuing to monitor performance and address challenges, organizations can adapt to growth and find new opportunities to outperform.
